The Buncombe County School System is North Carolina's 10th largest school system and the largest district in Western North Carolina.  They employ nearly 4,000 people and serve more than 25,000 students, making Buncombe County Schools the county's second largest employer.  More than 50 different languages are spoken in the 41 schools.
