With 180 medical staff and 1,200 employees, the Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville NC offers inpatient and outpatient services with 222 acute-care beds and 20 skilled nursing beds. The Pardee Health Education Center at the Blue Ridge Mall in Hendersonville NC offers low-cost and free services, health fairs, screening events, seminars and support groups. Additionally, Pardee offers a Women's Health Center as well as a new Urgent Care and Pardee Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy Center.  Since 1910, Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher has served south Asheville, Skyland, Arden, Fletcher and the rest of Henderson County. Three regional chapters of the American Red Cross – the Asheville-Mountain Area Chapter, the Haywood County Chapter and the Henderson County Chapter – have been in operation for nearly a century. These chapters offer health and safety classes and sponsor blood drives throughout the area.
